Jessica Chastain

JessicaJessica Michelle Chastain (born March 24 1977) is an American producer and actress. She is well-known for her performances in films with feminist themes. She has been awarded numerous awards including an Academy Award, and a Golden Globe Award. Time magazine listed her as one of the 100 most influential persons in the world in 2012. Chastain started acting as a child. In 1998 she made her debut on stage as Shakespeare's Juliet. After attending acting classes at Juilliard School, she was given a talent deal with John Wells. She was frequently a guest on a variety of television shows and also played a variety of roles in stage productions. Chastain's first film appearance was in Jolene (2008) when she was the age of 31 years old. In 2011, Chastain achieved her breakthrough by releasing six films which included The Tree of Life (2011), Take Shelter (2011), and The Tree of Life (2012). Chastain was also nominated for Academy Award nominations as a role in The Help (2011), where she played an aspiring socialite, and Zero Dark Thirty (2012) as an CIA analyst. The science fiction films Interstellar (2014), The Martian (2015) and It Chapter Two (2018) were commercially more successful. Chastain was also praised for her performance as strong-willed females in the dramas A Most violent Year (2014), Miss Sloane (2016), and Molly's Game (2017), and the television miniseries Scenes from a Marriage (2021). In the biopic The Eyes of Tammy Faye (1921), she was Tammy Faye Bakker. She won the Academy Award as Best Actress. Tammy Wynette was the miniseries George & Tammy (222). Chastain is the investor and founder of Freckle Films, a production company that promotes diversity in film. She has been vocal about mental issues and gender and racial equality. Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo (fashion executive) is her husband.
